Chip Syme and Charlie at Juniata Locomotive Shop during the 2008 CRHS convention. After the tour, Charlie received a safety award from the tour guide. Chip was an engineer for forty years, starting with Penn Central and ending on Norfolk Southern. He is a wealth of knowledge and always has a few good stories up his sleeve.

Charlie and Andy get a sneak peak inside Iowa Interstate #709. Andy was invited by Henry Posner, his former classmate and owner of the railroad, to a cocktail reception on a business car. The train was in Oakmont, PA for the US Open.

Terry Karas and Charlie outside of Pittsburgh station after arriving on an NS/Operation Lifesaver train that ran from Pittsburgh to Brownsville and back. Terry retired from the railroad as a yard master at Mingo Junction. She is also an Operation Lifesaver presenter.
