On Saturday September 28th our family went to Lancaster to see the marvelous play "Noah" at the Sight & Sound theatre. The following morning my dad and I went to check out trains while the rest went to the outlet mall. And boy, were we in for a treat! We first went to the Amtrak Station in Lancaster and soon realized that we had perfect timing. Within the half hour that we were there we saw two Keystone Service trains! The tracks would have been empty if we had gotten there just a little earlier or later. Then we went to Norfolk Southern's Dillerville Yard. The first thing we were treated to at the yard was a covered hopper unloading ramp. We also saw lots of old Geeps sitting around. However, the best part was yet to come. Before leaving on Saturday I was looking at the yard on Bing maps and noticed three Conrail cabeese. So, we searched the yard on Sunday and sure enough we found all three still in Conrail Blue! Finally we went to the Strasburg RR and saw an excursion leaving and on its return trip. All of this in a few hours made for an excellent morning! -Charlie
