I created a Youtube account recently and have started posting videos on from my railfanning adventures. You can access my channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/pittsburghmainline. I only have two videos so far but I plan on filming more trains in the future and using a tripod! (which I didn't use in my two current videos) I may also start to do video updates on the layout and post the videos on the PML website. Let's increase those view numbers and make the Pittsburgh Mainline go viral!

A reproduction of an old postcard led to researching the Irwin Railroad Station, as well as the Pennsylvania Railroad and it's impact on the town of Irwin and surrounding areas. At 7 p.m. Feb.12, 2013, the Westmoreland County Historical Society will feature Mr. Blenko in a talk titled "In Search of Irwin Station" at the Calvin E. Pollins Library, 362 Sand Hill Road, Suite 1, in Greensburg. The program is free to society members and $5 for nonmembers. Seating is limited; to reserve a seat call 724-532-1935, ext. 210. On Friday, January 18, 2013, Howard hosted an operating session for the Pittsburgh Main Line crew. He continues to improve and scenic his Western Maryland layout. Jerry, Dan, Charlie, Mike, Gary and Andy attended, along with our host. A good time was had by all, as usual. |
